Turkey Entrée: MIXING WITH PRO PLAN DRY PRODUCT, One 13 oz can of this product replaces approximately 1 cup of dry Pro Plan Puppy Formula. Divide amounts into 3 or more feedings for puppies up to 6 months and 2 feedings from 7 – 12 months. Adjust as needed to maintain your puppy in ideal body condition and avoid excess weight gain. Chicken Entrée: Small to medium breed puppies: Feed 1 can per 5 – 8 pounds of body weight daily. Medium to large breed puppies: Feed 1 can per 7 – 12 pounds of body weight daily. Detailed feeding instructions at Purina.com. Divide amounts into 3 or more feedings for puppies up to 6 months and 2 feedings from 7 – 12 months. Adjust as needed to avoid excess weight gain. My picky poodle likes it.

It’s the only food my picky poodle will eat. We tried Royal Canin but she refused it for about a month! We tried a few others before this was suggested, now she looks forward to eating (sometimes… she’d really rather play than eat).

My pup usually dislikes wet food, but PPP's puppy entrees were a hit!

Purina Pro Plan is one of the few brands compliant with WSAVA guidelines. My pup is not a fan of wet food in general, so I rarely feed it to him unless it's to top off his occasional chicken breast. Surprisingly, he chows right down on PPP's puppy entrees without letting it sit for any amount of time.The primary ingredient is either chicken or turkey. I find the "turkey entree" somewhat misleading as it also contains liver, beef, chicken, and salmon, so it's more a mish mash of several different meat proteins. The chicken also contains liver and salmon. PPP's puppy entrees are grain free, which some people prefer (and can also be helpful for those pups with sensitivities), but it is also controversial due to concerns over potential correlation with increased risk of DCM. For the occasional treat to supplement my pup's standard kibble, however, it is acceptable. My pup experienced no GI sensitivities or distress, so this may remain in his rotation moving forward for those times I need to feed something other than solids/kibble.The product box is not the greatest. It seemed sort of flimsy and was open, with canned food rolling around everywhere, upon arrival. No damage to the cans though, so no big deal.

NAUSEATING SMELL

I stalked up on this for my litter of puppies in anticipation of how difficult life would become 4 weeks into 9 puppies and a lactating mommy dog.This food was AWFUL IN SMELL to the point where I was about to VOMIT!!Further, the smell STAYS IN THE ROOM !!! And despite puppy shampoo, LINGERS ON THE PUPPIES !!!! Find an alternative! Or mix your own ground up chicken with a dry kibble that’s been soaked in water!!! You will be glad you read this review!!!!!
